Exploring Ledgers

A ledger is a snapshot of the Stellar network state at a point in time. New ledgers close approximately every 5 seconds.

The Ledgers page shows recent ledgers in reverse chronological order. Each ledger card displays:

  • Sequence number — The ledger’s position in the chain
  • Closed at — When the ledger was finalized
  • Transaction count — How many transactions were included
  • Operation count — Total operations across all transactions

Click a ledger to see its full details and the list of transactions it contains.

The explorer streams new ledgers in real-time. The latest ledger appears automatically at the top of the list without refreshing the page.
